eLearning Partners with ProctorU for Summer 2013

Beginning this summer, MCC eLearning is partnering with ProctorU to provide students with even more opportunities for testing!

ProctorU provides distance proctoring services for institutions that offer examinations online. The service allows students to take exams from anywhere in a secured environment using only a computer, webcam and a high-speed Internet connection. ProctorU offers live, person to person, real time monitoring to more than 270 colleges, universities and certification organizations.

MCC students who are not able to visit the Holladay Center during testing hours will be able to utilize ProctorU to complete proctored assignments and exams with a live proctor through ProctorU.

Holladay Center closed on April 4th

The Holladay Center for eLearning will be closed today for a Canvas conference. Appointments for testing are still available for Friday from 8am – 4pm and Saturday from 8am – 12pm. Make your appointment online to test.

Creating Futures Through Technology Conference

The CFTTC 2013 took place at the Beau Rivage Resort in Bilouxi, Miss. March 6-8, 2013

Dr. LeBrun, Director of eLearning at MCC, and Christa Sayers, eLearning Support Specalist, traveled to Bilouxi, Miss. before Spring Break to attend the 2013 CFTTC,  which featured  talented faculty, administrators and IT professionals who shared their insight and strategies for using technology in higher education.

With the transition to Canvas LMS nearing, the conference was a great way to learn how Canvas is a integral part of the future of online education. CFTTC 2013 served as a reminder that MCC is moving toward the future with Canvas.
